Our Coach

The academy is run in Dunedin by Malcolm Fleming, a full-time professional coach.

Malcolm has always been football mad, and has a career spanning football in Dunedin at the highest levels. He has played at senior level for a large number of Dunedin clubs, and has since coached at all levels from the club, senior, to representative levels.

Malcolm has coached at the senior level in Dunedin since 1992 for the following clubs:

  • 2000 - 2004 Otago Senior Men's 1st team coach
  • 2003 - 2004 Otago Senior Women's 1st team coach
  • 2010 - 2011 Otago United coach in ASB Premiership
  • 2006 - 2007 - 2009 Otago United assistant coach
  • 2006 - 2010 Otago United youth team

HPC Burnley Football Club Academy Australasia (BFCAA)

Spent 6 months learning and coaching in Perth at BFCAA before returning to take
over the programme in Dunedin.

West Ham United Oceania Academy Coach 2015 to  present.  Has WHU Academy Diploma qualification only New Zealander to have completed this coarse. So therefore can coach in WHU Academy camps in NZ, Australia and America. 

Academy

  • Set up King's High School Football Academy
  • 2012 to present: Have been running King's High School Football Academy. This caters for the whole football programme for each school footballer from year 9 to year 13.
